Our organic cotton is a natural fiber extracted from the cotton plant. It is grown organically in Europe without the use of chemicals or genetically modified seeds. It is completely safe and healthy for those who produce and use it. It is also hypoallergenic and has an extra dermal caress feel that prevents chafing and irritation. It is a strong and durable fabric, as its fibers are long, high-quality, and free of harsh chemicals. It reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Water is not polluted during cultivation or manufacturing. It is respectful of surrounding ecosystems. At least 80% of the water used for irrigation is rainwater, which is cleaner and safer. Its recycling is entirely organic and non-polluting. Crop rotation is practiced, and the soil is nourished exclusively with organic fertilizers, keeping it healthy and fertile. Harvesting is done by hand, respecting fair and safe working conditions for farmers and guaranteeing decent living conditions with fair wages. Dyeing and printing are done using non-toxic, natural inks. While it’s true that it’s more expensive, all these features make it a better option.

So, is buying organic clothing always sustainable? Buying organic clothing simply for the pleasure of buying it, without really knowing if you’ll use it, isn’t sustainable. True sustainability lies in the long-term use of a garment or any other product over time. Of course, if the fibers are long and high-quality, the garment will last longer and in better condition. It’s up to us to be part of the change.
